Hello, I’m Scott Poynton, Founder of a different way…

I’m developing, “Getting to Cooperation,” an online course to share counterintuitive insights from my more than two decades spent at the frontier of complex change processes helping people get to cooperation. I continue to support people to travel that path, but I’m ever more worried that the world over, we’re struggling on a grand scale to cooperate. We’re not moving forward with the many changes we need to grapple with climate change and many other issues.

We really do need to get to cooperation.

I’ve been privileged to have been involved in many change processes where getting to cooperation was the secret ingredient that unlocked grand transformations. In particular, there are what I call, the ‘Big 7’ projects where I mediated major disputes between some of the world’s largest companies and NGOs that led to unprecedented changes across entire industries to better protect forests and human rights.
