Blog & Podcast: With Ben Page
I had the privilege of speaking to Ben Page recently and we recorded a Scott Poynton Podcast together! See the link below to have a listen.
When I signed on to participate in my Forest Therapy Guide training with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, led by the wonderful Vicky Kyan, Geeta Stilwell and Liz Dawes, there was a recording of Ben introducing Forest Therapy on a radio program in the US. His description only confirmed my feeling that this was a practice I was going to fall in love with.
Ben subsequently appeared in various videos throughout our 6 month training and co-wrote all the training materials.
He struck me over and over as an impressive and interesting young bloke so I was chuffed when he agreed to join me for our podcast.
Ben has just published his first book, "Healing Trees, A Pocket Guide to Forest Therapy" and I can't recommend it highly enough. He’s also founded a School in the US and leads his own Forest Therapy business: Shinrin Yoku Los Angeles
I hope you enjoy our podcast where Ben shares stories from his childhood, about how he came to be a Forest Therapy Guide and Trainer, about the practice itself, the school he founded in the US and with much exploration of philosophy as well.
